ROMEO & JULIETTE

OUR BIEWER TERRIERS
MAY 2, 2009: We are so very pleased to announce that our special boy was just in his first dog show in the American Rare Breed Association and won first place in all four shows. He also placed in two group rings with a group 1 and a group 2. We are especially pleased that he was able to enter the "Best in Show" ring in his very first time out, at the Michigan Classic held in Kalamazoo on May 2, 2009. That is quite an achievement for a 10 1/2 month old puppy. Owner/Handler Bruce did an excellent job training & showing his little buddy Romeo!
The Biewers are a rare breed of dog imported from Germany, and are now awaiting AKC acceptance. He is going to continue showing, and we'll keep you all posted right here.

In mid May we finally
found our Juliette!
She is a little doll, and it is fun training her for the
show ring, along with just having her here at the salon as my new puppy! Please
stop in to see her any time!
We are also showing our Biewers in the NAKC~Rarities club. The North American Kennel Club is another venue for rare breeds and also for all AKC approved breeds. We will continue to show our dogs in these clubs until the AKC officially recognizes them and allows them into their club shows. The Biewer breed i snow and is working diligently towards being accepted into the AKC, UKC (United Kennel Club), and the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club).
Our Juliette was born on Feb 14th, 2009. At 14 weeks of age, she joined our little group and entered her first dog show cluster along with Romeo. She had only 2 classes before her debut, and she had a nice showing for her first time out as a puppy. In all 4 shows Juliette took first place in her age group in the breed, and then went on to win BEST PUPPY IN BREED, then got BEST PUPPY IN GROUP (group1) placement, and then the highest win was one BEST PUPPY IN SHOW. That is a spectacular first time out for such a young girl! The judges were complimentary on how she was "well put together", and especially noting "front movement" and hindquarters, along with a perfect bite and straight topline. She got several points and one major towards her championship title.
It is a wonderful feeling knowing that your puppy has so much potential.
Romeo also did very well in all 4
shows, winning first place in his class for breed, Best of Winners, Best of
Breed, and he group two placement in all four shows, culminating in BEST JUNIOR
PUPPY IN SHOW at just 11 1/2 months of age.
He got several points and one major towards his championship title.
We are so very proud of both of these amazing little dogs!
All in all they brought home a
total of 38 ribbons for the 4 show cluster that was held in Cincinnati Ohio on
May 30th.
Here are some pictures from that show.

This was an all outdoors show.
The dogs did a bit of practicing at home on the lawn, and this helped a lot when
it was time for the real thing.
